Promenade Maison de Charme

An old school hotel with excellent staff, close to the main shops and restaurants and the beach.

We were more than happy with the stay and felt well looked after. The staff were so friendly, kind, and polite. We arrived early Friday morning thinking we had booked a guesthouse, then found out we'd be staying in rooms contracted by the Lolli Palace Hotel. It's right by the sea and the best beaches, with everything easy to reach on foot. We'd had poor experiences with Booking.com before, so we were expecting the worst, but the room was spotless when we walked in. It had clean towels, fresh air, a safe, a closet, and sensor-controlled air conditioning. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was a dream, especially the shower. There's also a HUGE ultra-flat screen, free Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, bar service, and room service. We didn't eat at the hotel since we were only there a few days, but after the rest of the experience, I'm sure the food would be good too. I highly recommend it.

The seafront location is excellent, only a short walk from the casino and Sanremo centre. The room itself could use a fresh coat of paint, was a little dusty, and the headboard needs some maintenance.

For visiting beautiful Sanremo, the location was the main plus. The other was the night shift attendant, who was very kind, courteous, and professional. The gentleman working during the day was less informal. The room felt sparse and poorly thought out. There was no telephone or coat rack, and instead of a proper closet there was just a bar between the two with four hangers. It also lacked bidet towels. The furnishings looked like they dated from the 1960s, giving the place a vintage but tacky feel. The toilet was the real gem: whenever someone in an adjacent room flushed, the water started gurgling loudly and vigorously.
