Baia Nebrodi Residence

The setting is really quiet, with outdoor parking and a private garage. The two-level townhouses feel modern and comfortable, and each has a little ground-floor patio with a table, chairs, and umbrella. The apartment had everything we needed except a washing machine. There is a paid laundry service. The property itself is lovely and well cared for. Staff were warm and attentive, especially the receptionist, who was kind, professional, and very helpful. Reception is open only at certain times, but someone can always be reached if you need help. It works well as a base for the area, between Sant'Agata di Militello and Torrenova, and about half an hour from Capo d'Orlando. The sea wasn't very appealing, possibly because of the marina construction. The water looked a little murky and the beach wasn't well maintained. The public beach was very quiet. A partner beach offers entertainment until late, though it faces the road, so there's no sea view, and it has no bar.

We were two couples and had booked a two-bedroom house with two double beds. Instead, at check-in we were given one double bedroom and another with bunk beds, and there was no air conditioning. When we asked to check out at 9:00 AM, the person who was meant to handle it didn't arrive until 10:00 AM, leaving us waiting at reception for an hour. We requested a receipt and were told it would come by email, but what arrived was just a form made in Word on a computer. The residence itself is nice, and the location is convenient if you're driving, with the center a short walk away. But we found hair in the bathroom and an old handkerchief under the bed. A terrible experience, wouldn't recommend it.

It's right by the sea, very clean, and honestly perfect in those respects. But the garbage smell is awful, even at night, which is why I can only give one star. We had to sleep with the balconies and windows shut. I looked into it, and from what I could tell there may be a dump nearby. Is it really normal for local authorities to put one so close to a beautiful resort? I'd gladly come back if it weren't for the stink and the constant stream of garbage trucks. I hope the staff can find a way to address it.

This is only about the reception staff, since I left without staying. They were extremely rude. They tried to charge me the adult rate for a six-year-old girl, and when I pointed it out, the reply was rude. Then, because I didn't want to stay, they threatened to charge me a penalty. Absurd. If zero stars were an option, I'd give that.
