Gli Ulivi is peaceful at night, and we even saw fireflies. The rooms are simple, but the views across the Sorrento coast and valleys are lovely. Breakfast is basic, with homemade cake and oranges on our second day, and the hosts kindly worked around our early departure for Capri. It can seem out of the way at first, but it's well placed for Sorrento and Capri. A new local bus, not yet shown on Google Maps, runs often to the port in about 15 minutes and costs €1.50 per person. The couple hosting us were so generous: they helped with pick-up and drop-off when roads were closed, provided free nearby parking, and sent us off with lemons and their secret limoncello recipe. A warm, rustic Italian stay. We'd gladly return.
