We booked the property for three days and lost a whole day waiting on the road for two hours, then being handed a house that hadn’t been cleaned. Dirty towels were left lying around, so you can imagine the condition of the rest of it. When we complained, Angelo from De Vivo told us it was our fault and that we were provoking his team by showing our anger. I’ve never heard anything so absurd. He said we’d get a refund for the first day because the problem was caused by his team. After we got home, we found out the De Vivo team had refused it, saying we had provoked them and expressed anger. If a lower rating were possible, I’d give one. These people are FRAUDSTERS. To the owner: I have nothing against you. This review is about your property management company. I’m shocked and disgusted by the way De Vivo handled our stay, and I’ll make sure other tourists like me know about this so they don’t get exploited.

A warning about Angelo Ambrosio at De Vivo properties. Our property was unkempt when we arrived, and after we complained, we were promised a refund through booking.com. Once we had left, they refused to refund us at all, using grounds that were baseless, false, and defamatory. Angelo was rude, threatening, and racist. He kept saying, “I don’t care about your problems to be honest” and “you should be lucky you got this house.” I’m sharing this in the hope nobody else has to deal with the same experience.

The apartment felt like home, with a spotless, cozy interior and everything we needed. It’s around a 20-minute walk from downtown Sorrento and the beaches, and the metro is an easy way to get around too. Carlo made our arrival and stay so easy. He picked us up at the metro station, helped with check-in, and explained everything clearly. His local tips for restaurants and things to do were great, and he even helped us book a boat trip to Capri, which was one of the highlights. One small thing to plan for: when it’s busy, a full local bus may not stop near the apartment. We had to head to Sorrento to catch one. That’s a transport issue in the area and didn’t affect how good the apartment or our stay was. Carlo is absolutely a Superhost, and we’d happily stay again.
