Villa Crawford - Religious Hospitality

The receptionist went out of her way to help, and our room was comfortable. The views are wonderful, and it’s a beautiful place to stay. There’s only one bar staff member, so getting served could take a while. Weddings are popular here, and the main dining deck closes to guests when they’re taking place. I also missed having a fridge and the ability to make tea or coffee in the room.

Lovely views, attractive landscaping, and lots of quiet spots to sit and talk or just relax. Breakfast was generous. The bed felt quite firm, which isn’t my preference.

The views from this beautiful property were next level, and for four of us the room was large with everything we needed. Everyone was kind and helpful. We used the hotel as a base for three nights, taking day trips to Capri and Sorrento, including a full day boat tour. Since we weren’t planning to spend much time in Sorrento itself, the location worked fine, and it was easy to arrange taxis when needed. The price was very reasonable compared with other places nearby. On our first evening, having snacks and drinks on the terrace felt like heaven. We ate at the hotel restaurant one night. The food was good, not amazing, but the convenience and the view from our table made up for it. There are also some excellent restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was standard and did the job. We were very happy with our stay and would come back.

The hotel itself was excellent, with great service and a very clean room. Food was my one complaint. Breakfast was free, and about as average as it could be. On our last night, we cancelled a reservation at a really great restaurant after the front desk recommended eating at the hotel. That meal was below average too, and the worst we had around Sorrento in four days. I hate leaving a bad review when food was the only issue, and it’s easy enough to avoid. Future travelers, skip the restaurant, not the hotel.
