Grand Hotel La Pace

The hotel room was spotless, cleaned daily, with fresh towels and bathroom supplies topped up. We ate well too, with different food choices each day. The staff were all so friendly and lovely. The shuttle to sorrento ran often and took about 15 minutes, while walking to sant angelo took around eight minutes, with a nice cafe at the bottom. We just got back from a great week at La Pace and would definitely return.

Our Room 225 was spacious and comfortable, with a large patio beside the pool. The pool bar was close by but never noisy, and there was no need to rush out early for sunbeds. The views across the Bay of Naples to Vesuvius were stunning. Food was very good for an all-inclusive hotel, with lots of choice, and lunches at the pool bar were excellent. La Pace has a lovely art deco feel, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Giovanni in the Windows restaurant deserves a special mention. The cleaning staff were lovely too, and quickly brought anything we were short of. A free shuttle to Sorrento made getting around easy, especially as we'd heard taxis could be expensive. We're just back and would fully recommend this wonderful hotel.

You can walk to Sorrento if you miss the free shuttle. The staff work hard, are friendly, and go out of their way to help. It's a great hotel and I'd highly recommend it. My only small gripe was that Channel 10 wouldn't work, so there was no English news, but it's a very minor complaint.

The staff are what make this place, especially Giovanni and his right hand man. They keep everything running smoothly with kindness, humour, and wit. The Grand Hotel La Pace really does feel peaceful, away from the busy surrounding areas. After visiting other places, it was lovely to come back and relax. We stayed for two weeks, and had read both good and bad reviews before arriving, so we were a little concerned. The hotel is open about its decor. We found the entrance and reception breathtaking. For our honeymoon we booked an upgraded room, which was clean, spacious, comfortable, and had a stunning view of the pool and sea. I can't speak for the other rooms, but we don't spend our holiday in the room anyway. The food was more than acceptable, with plenty of choice and dishes cooked fresh to order or in front of you. The pool is best for a quick dip, cooling off, and chatting, rather than swimming, but it met our needs. If we came back, choosing this hotel would be the one thing we'd keep the same.
