Those two nights with Marta, Luca, Claudio & Rita made me feel less like a stranger passing through and more like a family friend. I’m an American riding solo around Italy during my 90 day Tourist Visa, and they welcomed me onto their beautiful property like I’d been adopted. It was incredibly kind. Grazie! “Tim from Tennessee”

Martha, Luca, the family, and even the dogs made this a lovely place to stay. I came across it while searching for a base for riding the Ex Ferrovia Spoleto-Norcia, and the location worked perfectly.

Marta talked us through how saffron is harvested and the farm's educational work with local schools. We were there for lunch as a small group, and the family, Rita, Claudio, Marta and Luca, served a really enjoyable meal made with local ingredients, including wild herbs and vegetables. A thoroughly good experience at this organic farm in the beautiful Nera River valley in Umbria.

Meeting Marta, Luca and their family was the highlight of our time in Umbria. We had an amazing stay at Zafferano e Dintorni, and Valnerina is a beautiful area that was perfect for cycling. We can't recommend a visit enough.

The bike arrangements were easy and sorted out quickly, and the food was excellent. You can tell Marta, Luca and their family care about what they do, with real respect for the ingredients and plenty of love in the dishes. It made for a great day. They deserve all their success, and we'll be back soon. Alex
