Agriturismo Erbe Matte - Campsite

The staff were very polite, but that didn't undo the problems with the stay. The property wasn't as described, and the house was unsafe for small children even though we'd specifically asked for child-friendly accommodation. Getting to the beach or the nearest city was difficult too. I don't often leave negative reviews, but this time I feel I have to. I can't recommend the property.

At night, everything was so quiet, and the view was wonderful. Dora had made us an outstanding breakfast herself, cooked and healthy, something you have to taste rather than judge from photos. The place we slept in had clearly been put together with care and detail, and it was very comfortable. We loved the feeling of being close to nature. Coming back up the hill in the evening felt like coming home, and Dora gave us the warmest welcome we've ever had. If you like the idea of camping but want the comfort of a hotel room with its own bathroom, this is a great fit. Capo Sperone was the highlight of our Sardinia trip. We wish we'd had longer and are already looking forward to coming home again. It really did feel like family. Thank you, Dora and Gianfranco!

We came away with lovely memories and know we'll return one day. For three weeks, my wife, our ten-year-old son, and I felt like part of an extended family, thanks to Dora, her husband, and the whole team. The shared spaces made it easy to enjoy time with the other guests and make new friends, while our own accommodation offered peace and quiet whenever we wanted it. I still think about the evenings under the stars. The surroundings are beautiful, with nature all around, a spectacular sea view, and plenty of room to relax. What made it special, though, was all the genuine care in the day-to-day details. Breakfast was thoughtfully made and delicious, the island tips were useful, and everyone was available without ever intruding. We're grateful to Dora and everyone at Erbe Matte for making it such an authentic place.

Looking out from our Shell tent, we could see the islands of Vacca (and Vitello) and Toro from the veranda. The tent, a distinctive four-person setup that we used as a group of three, had everything we needed, including a fridge and a shower bathroom. We also loved that each tent is named after a De André song. Ours was Creuza de Mä, of course. The night sky was incredible, with stars everywhere in one of Italy's darkest skies. I enjoy astrophotography and was lucky to catch the Milky Way stretching over the sea right in front of our tent. I took the pictures quickly on my phone, but they give you the idea. This glamping site offers a genuinely unusual stay, with options ranging from geodesic domes to safari lodge tents. Dora was meticulous, welcoming, and wonderfully helpful, and the cleaners and maintenance staff were just as kind and professional. For me, Erbe Matte is all about nature, rest, and excitement.
