Lisa made me feel at home from the start, with fruit, local wine, and ice cream waiting in the fridge. Halfway through my stay, she brought me some baked treats to try, too. She’s attentive and skilled with guests, and if you meet her with the same respect and kindness, she may even treat you like a friend when you return. The rooms each have their own thoughtful style, quality finishes, and a creative touch. Mine had a wardrobe, mini-fridge, and coffee table, and I slept well in the slatted bed. The nightlife is close by in the heart of Sant'Antioco, with music and the town’s lively feel around you. Aguadora is set up as a holiday home and B&B, with double and twin rooms, private bathrooms, a kitchen, and a breakfast area. Breakfast isn’t included, but there are coffee pods and a machine, a microwave, tea, cups, and dishes. Lisa also organizes and runs local nature trails if you’d like to try one. The treasure hunt for our children ended with a lovely sunset picnic, but we also learned a lot along the way. The excursion took us around the Mangiabarche area of ​​Sant'Antioco Island and shared plenty of interesting details. Lisa was knowledgeable and empathetic, and kept guests of every age involved. We had a fantastic time and recommend it to everyone.

We went on the sunset tour with Lisa and the lovely Aysha, and finished with an aperitif of delicious local products. Along the way, Lisa shared all kinds of interesting things, from the Nuragic civilization to botany and folklore. She’s friendly, welcoming, and knows her subject so well that it felt like we’d known her forever. A wonderful outing in a magical place.

Lisa’s advice made a big difference to my holiday in Sant'Antioco. Without it, I wouldn’t have had one of my best trips in recent years. The B&B itself was spotless, and every room has its own tasteful touches from Lisa, the legendary host. If you have time, take one of her excursions to learn about the Nuragic people who once lived on the island. You might even meet Rashid ;-). A truly lovely place, and one of the best B&Bs I’ve stayed in.
