The people at Agriturismo Sa Ruscitta were really friendly and helpful, and we thought the food at the Sa Ruscitta restaurant was excellent. We spent a week in the house, which has plenty of room for seven: two double bedrooms each with an extra single bed, plus a small single room. The big covered terrace was nice for evenings, and we appreciated having a dishwasher, two large fridges, and a washing machine in the bathroom. The air conditioner in the upstairs double room was broken, but they replaced it after two days. It’s a quiet area, about 2 km from Spiaggia Coaquaddus, the nicest sandy beach on Sant'Antioco and a good choice for children and people who can’t swim. The beach right by the house isn’t sandy and isn’t suitable for non-swimmers. Shopping takes a drive to a supermarket in Sant'Antioco, about 40 minutes round trip. There’s no bakery or little shop nearby. We didn’t find any "local" supermarket like another review mentioned. The kitchen is dated and has very little equipment. There’s barely enough cutlery, so we washed things by hand instead of running the dishwasher after every meal. There’s no colander or lids for the pots and pans. The bathroom could use an update too. The house has a lot going for it, and a few small repairs and some extra supplies would help guests. Even with insect screens, we needed mosquito repellent plug-ins or something similar for both the bedrooms and terrace.

The villas look out over the islands of Vacca and Vitello, with a beautiful view. Peonia Rosa is a peaceful village in the south of Sant'Antioco, though there aren’t any amenities there, like a market or bar.

A gorgeous garden, and such a peaceful setting. Excellent location.
