We booked three double rooms starting July 19th and had a verbal agreement with the owner, but this evening we arrived to find only two rooms available. A few weeks ago, we also found no toilet paper in the room and, more importantly, no water for the shower. In the morning, the breakfast bar across the street was closed. When it’s open, breakfast is just a warmed croissant with a coffee or cappuccino. All of this for €75 a night. The owner was arrogant and unhelpful on the phone when we tried to get an explanation and sort things out calmly. Never again.

Annalisa was friendly and available whenever we needed her. The rooms were lovely, clean, and especially bright. The property is right in the city center, handy for getting around, and breakfast is served at the bar next to the B&B. Congratulations!

Breakfast was at a very crowded, impersonal bar, and I wouldn’t go back. We came in at 1 a.m. to find cold air blowing from the bathroom radiator and freezing water. Luckily, the heating started working in the morning. It was a shivering night.

We’ve stayed at this small hotel for years because it’s conveniently close to the track, and we’ve even brought guests there for that reason. In recent times, though, there have been some obvious signs of poor quality: no water at 9 p.m. to shower after work, with not even an apology, and no toilet paper in the rooms. Breakfast at the bar across the street is one reheated croissant, and I repeat, one, with coffee or cappuccino, for €70 a night. Even so, we kept going for the convenience. After last night, that’s enough. We arrived at 7 p.m. after a day’s work, following a month and a half of confirmation emails and in-person bookings at the hotel, including with the owner. The rooms we’d agreed on for a three-day stay were no longer available, even though we had never sent them to this gentleman. We had to contact the owner, who turned on us. I doubt anyone would want to come back exhausted from work to a hotel room they’d booked long ago, with emails to prove it, only to find it unavailable. We didn’t call the police because we were too tired. From experience, if you don’t want the same situation, I strongly advise against booking with this “gentleman” if you want to avoid a nasty surprise on arrival. When we return, we’ll report what happened to the Tourist Office and provide all the necessary documentation.
