The setting is beautiful, but the service was terrible. The staff were very rude, impolite, and hostile toward tourists, the worst service experience I've had anywhere in Italy. The food was expensive and mediocre at best, mostly bad, and nowhere near the quality of Italian food elsewhere. It's sad that such a lovely place has such a bad “restaurant.” I definitely don't recommend it to anyone. P.S. The woman with the black shaggy hair is an old battle-axe.

It's usually packed, especially at lunchtime, and there's often a line. Still, it moves quickly because the staff are fast and well organized. Fantastic place.

Santa Caterina is lovely, but the food here is awful. The Aperol and DJ were the good parts; everything else wasn't. We tried both the restaurant and the “bar.” The soup wasn't very tasty and cost more than in Bormio. The small piece of pizza, or whatever it was, was 8e and bad. At the restaurant we ordered soup, steaks, pasta, and radler. The radler cost 9 euros because they brought a beer bottle and a can of lemonade for us to mix, LOL. I waited almost 30 minutes for the soup.

At the Gondola arrival from S.Caterina, this is a starting point for lots of interesting trails. It's very well built, spacious, and comfortable. I can't comment on the rooms since I didn't stay overnight.

We had lunch at Sunny Valley, with two good sandwiches and great service. The prices are a bit high compared with other bars in Bormio. For example, a cappuccino is 3.50 instead of 2.5 at Bormio 2000. The toilets are clean and well made.
