Aurora e del Benessere

We ate at the restaurant twice and really liked the starters and mains. The desserts were frozen, even the tiramisu. The facilities were nice, especially the pool, with its bar open a lot, and the spa was available as an extra. Our room was nice, with a double and a single for our daughter. It was very clean, though the main shower head was broken. It wasn't a big problem since there was a smaller one.

We only stayed one night, but found the experience quite good. The building has four levels, and the interior was decent. Our room and the shared spaces were clean. The outdoor pool, facing the Adriatic sea, was amazing and a relaxing place to spend time. Lucio from the staff was very kind, and breakfast was satisfactory with good service. Teodoro at reception was gentle and welcoming, both during the booking and when we arrived. We did have a small problem with the Aircon that couldn't be sorted quickly, but these things happen and the staff were available to help.

The hotel felt secure for me as a woman traveling alone, and the rooms were very clean. I had an exceptional 4-day stay at Aurora Del Benessere. Aurora and Francesca at reception made the trip amazing. They showed me unusual, magnificent places to swim, and Aurora explained the history of Puglia and especially the village Castro on a guided tour. Francesca, a professional photographer, captured moments I'll never forget. They also introduced me to Otranto and took me to dinner in Poggiardo on my last day. They're generous, lovely people, so ask them for local places and history if you'd like to enrich your visit. Massimiliano made me feel welcome at breakfast every morning, and Stefano made delicious cocktails at the pool bar and shared ideas for enjoying the city.

The only downside was the lack of working Internet, which may not bother most guests, but we needed it for work. Otherwise, we were really happy with our amazing 2 day vacation. We loved the immaculately clean pool and its fantastic view, and the pool and bar staff were very good. They made excellent cocktails and served up a storm of local goodies.
