This hotel was a failure for us. When we arrived, the room looked completely different from the pictures online, though the owner insisted we'd booked that exact room. We thought breakfast was included in the price, but it turned out to cost extra. The kitchen in the annex was locked, and there wasn't even a plastic cup in the room. The bedding was poor quality, and the room was dark, facing the neighbouring balcony. The owner only speaks Italian, so we had to talk to his son by phone when we needed an English translation. The older gentleman looking after the room wasn't friendly and didn't communicate well. I really don't recommend this place.

The stay was very pleasant overall. Staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was clean and tidy. The old town centre is a few minutes away on foot, the port is a minute away, and there are shops, bars, and restaurants nearby. I didn't like sharing the balcony with another room, or sharing two bathroom and toilet walls with that same room. We could hear pretty clearly what was going on in there.

Miguel and his father were attentive throughout our stay at Afrodita B&B. They told us about the city and kept our luggage until it was time to leave for the airport. The port is very close, with cafes, restaurants, bakeries, and supermarkets nearby. Our room was lovely, with air conditioning and a fully renovated bathroom. There's a fridge in the shared area, too. The only thing I didn't like was the blue wall.

The owner was very kind and helpful, and the place was clean and welcoming. It's excellent value for money, close to the port and only a few steps from the centre.

The room was spotless, and the bathroom was roomy with a comfortable shower. Even during Sicily’s intense heat, close to 50°C, the house stayed wonderfully cool; the air conditioning made the room cooler in under ten minutes. Giuseppe welcomed us so warmly and chatted with us before we settled in for the night. He also shared local sightseeing tips and showed us where to leave our motorcycle so we could sleep without worrying. The place is right in the city center, surrounded by bars, bakeries, supermarkets, and greengrocers. A heartfelt thank you from the guys at Capo d'Orlando in Moto!
