I booked the only budget room available for one night, the day before, and had a very bad experience with the owner. The booking terms said check-in had to be by 3 pm. The next day, when we called the staff to ask about arranging a time, they explained that to us. First I spoke with the wife, then the daughter contacted me, and eventually I was talking to the husband while riding my bike. I asked if I could check in by 5 pm, as soon as I could manage, but they wouldn't agree because they had to attend a wedding. I even offered to meet them wherever they were to collect the key, but none of my attempts to find a compromise worked. I hadn't read the policy carefully, so that was my fault, and they were entitled to keep all the money. Still, I was disappointed that Booking hosts people who seem to have little to do with tourism or kindness. They didn't seem able to understand travellers' needs and just sell rooms on their own terms, whatever happens. I strongly recommend not staying here.
