Diamant Spa Resort

The location is beautiful and convenient, and the spa is great. Dinner was high quality, with attention to the details each time. The owners and staff were all very kind, and the service was fantastic. We just left what we think is the best hotel in the Dolomites. Thank You!

We didn’t feel welcomed at all. At our table, the waiter swore, dropped glasses, forgot drinks and didn’t even greet us. Service was slow overall, and the reception service was horrible too. This was the worst service experience I’ve ever had anywhere. They seem to be cutting costs everywhere: parking was charged despite being advertised as free on booking.com, and the spa water and room temperature were at the minimum acceptable levels. For a 4 star hotel, the food quality wasn’t acceptable. There was plenty of variety, but it all tasted very bland. I didn’t know you could mess up pasta with cheese in so many ways. The rooms were spacious and nice, and the spa had lots of good sauna and pool options. The drinks were nice too, and the bartender was one of just two people who gave good service. They also offer good transport to the ski sloopes. If they fixed the poor service at the tables and reception, along with the food, the experience would be significantly better.

The building itself is lovely, and our first impressions were good: the room was comfortable, breakfast was delicious, the spa was enjoyable, and most staff seemed friendly. We even left with a complimentary bottle of apple juice. But the way a few things were handled really soured the stay. Our shower was broken when we arrived. We told the front desk, the maintenance worker, and housekeeping; each acknowledged the problem and said it had been passed along. We were told they’d get a part and fix it, but nothing happened while we were there. We managed without making a fuss. Then at checkout, they said we owed 58 euros for the damage, as if we’d broken it. That was upsetting after staff had already known about it. The spa attendant was polite, but the area felt over-monitored. My friend was blamed for leaving the sauna door open, though other guests were using it too and it wasn’t clear who had done it. Even little things like plastic cups made us feel watched. The hotel also closed early, around 9:30 or 10 PM. We couldn’t have dinner there because we were told to reserve the night before, despite the dining room being empty. The hallways were so dim we used our phone flashlights to find our room, which felt a bit scary. And although Google showed free parking, staff charged us for it even after I pulled up the listing. Better communication and service would make a big difference.

The mountains were a great base for hiking and biking, and the food was so good that I’m pretty sure I came home a little rounder despite all that exercise. I booked half board and loved the meals. The staff were always kind and ready to help. I had such a lovely stay, and I’ll be back in September!
