We stayed for 11 wonderful days. The apartment was clean and well equipped, and the balcony had a stunning view. Several major hiking trails were just a short drive away, so the location worked well. Highly recommended!

We felt unwelcome and taken advantage of because of unclear communication and policies. The hotel only accepts cash, and card payments come with a surcharge. We hadn’t been clearly told this in advance and didn’t bring enough cash, so they kept our passports until we paid. That felt inappropriate and possibly illegal. We had booked a two-bedroom suite for three people, then one more friend joined us at the last minute. The hotel added another third of the full room rate to the bill, saying they divided the price by three. Nobody had explained that pricing method beforehand, and we received no clear written policy at booking or check-in. We expected a reasonable extra guest fee, not a sudden increase based on what seemed like an arbitrary calculation. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Our group of four booked a two-bedroom apartment advertised with four beds for €660 for four nights, excluding taxes. We paid a €200 deposit. On arrival, the owner demanded €880, saying the original price was only for three people. We hadn’t been told about this increase beforehand, in writing or at check-in. When we challenged it, she called it “common logic,” although the website lists prices per apartment, not per person. Her daughter later blamed “poor English” and repeated the “common logic” explanation, without acknowledging the lack of transparency. The owner refused to return our passports unless we paid the higher amount, which was alarming and may be illegal. After repeated complaints, they offered a €60 discount, without a real apology or explanation. We would have paid fair extra costs if they’d told us upfront, but a 30% increase based on an arbitrary rule was unacceptable. The passport incident made us feel unsafe. I’d avoid this property, and there are more professional options in Ortisei. Get all prices in writing before arrival, avoid paying in cash to prevent disputes, and keep your passports with you. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The view is magnificent, and the vehicle garage and lift are great. The apartment furnishings are a bit old, and sadly the advertised wifi isn’t available.
