A lovely base for enjoying Sicily. Gisella and her husband are really kind, the rooms are clean, and each day starts with a tasty breakfast made with local ingredients. I’d definitely recommend it.

The pool and the outdoor area for cooking and eating were highlights for us. We also found it easy to travel here with our eight-month-old, as the place felt very child-friendly. Breakfast featured local ingredients and typical Sicilian products, and our host Gisella was so accommodating. A great spot for a relaxing break, and we’d happily stay again.

We spent a week here mostly unwinding, enjoying time in and around the pool, and heading out to nearby beaches, towns, and nature spots for walks. The accommodation has a style we really liked, and the well-built shared outdoor kitchen was useful. We slept extremely well, enjoyed the breakfasts, and found the welcome both informative and comfortable.

What stood out most at La Muraglia was how calm it felt, along with the staff's kindness and respect for our privacy. They were among the nicest people I've met on my many trips, and they never hovered or kept asking if we needed something. The hotel is also distinctive in character, with space to swim or simply lie in the Sicilian sun. Modica and Ragusa are very close for exploring local culture and history. For me, it's the best hotel I've ever stayed in, and the five stars are well deserved.

Everything worked perfectly for us: the wireless, the clean pool in the sunshine, and all the garden spots where you could sit with a drink. The rooms were lovely, and breakfast was fresh each morning. The setting among olive trees and nature is amazing. Recommended.
