The outdoor area was a real highlight, especially the private pool, which we shared only with one other family staying downstairs. We could also use the washing machine, which was much appreciated after five days of traveling. Inside, the apartment was spotless and roomy enough for our family of five. The appliances were new, the kitchen had everything stocked, including a coffee maker, and the bathroom was spacious with a great shower. We arrived at Casalfredo after five days on the road and were welcomed by the lovely mother in law, who lives in the adjoining apartment and gave us the key. The hosts helped us plan our sightseeing in Cinque Terre for the following day. The town itself is small and mostly industrial, but felt safe. There's a restaurant within walking distance and a supermarket about a mile away. It's convenient for visiting Florence, Pisa, or Siena. Highly recommend staying here.

We found the apartment a great base for seeing Tuscany's main towns. The pool area and the rest of the place were just as clean as the apartment, which had everything we needed for a week in August with my daughter and grandchildren. The owners made us feel so welcome and did all they could to keep us comfortable. David was delightful, so please say hello from us. Thank you, we'd definitely recommend staying here.

We were stranded after an Airb&b in Bagni di Lucca fell through, and might have had to sleep in the car if Gianluca and Federica hadn't so kindly offered us their apartment. We slept very well, and it turned out to be a surprisingly handy base for a few days in Toscana, with Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano, Siena, and other places to visit nearby. Gianluca and Federica were excellent hosts. Thanks a million!

The location worked really well for us, and the apartment was clean, lovely, and comfortable. We had a great stay, with comfortable beds, and Federica and her husband were helpful both before we arrived and while we were there. We'll definitely come back. Thanks again for everything.
