The food was amazing, and the views are stunning. Rita & Peter have made such a lovely place. I loved staying here and already miss sleeping in the Tipi tent. I’d definitely return, hopefully soon.

The peaceful setting makes it easy to unwind, and falling asleep to nightingales was lovely. Podere di Maggio feels like a little hamlet, with glamping alongside old stone houses, all furnished and decorated with care and respect. Peter and Rita are wonderful hosts, almost too modest about what they’ve built themselves over years of hard work. The place was created by a landscape architect and a ceramics artist, with room to relax and enjoy being in nature.

We stayed in a spacious, lovely tent with its own bathroom, with the Podere cats wandering around. The little Siamese cat stole our hearts. There were beautiful Moroccan rugs inside, and the rustic, wild feel still came with lots of attention to detail. The views across the Amiata valleys are spectacular. A magical spot in nature, especially if you love quiet and places that feel special.
