The missing air conditioning made sleeping uncomfortable in the summer heat, even though it wasn't advertised as an amenity. We also couldn't find the promised mountain view, restaurant, or garden view, and the complimentary toiletries listed were absent. The pool edge was green and looked poorly cared for, while the room felt dated, basic, and in need of renovation. The photos and listing had led us to expect something quite different from what we found at Agriturismo La Ghiraia. We were so disappointed that we left early and spent the final four days of our holiday in a nice hotel in Lucca. It was a frustrating stay, and we can't recommend the property. Future guests should be cautious because the presentation didn't reflect its actual condition.

We had a great time. The family made us feel very welcome, and the experience was great. Be sure to try the family meal at least once while you're there.

The setting is beautiful, but the stay didn't live up to expectations. Our check-in was at 4:00 PM, and the welcome felt cold; we also had a long wait. In the apartment there were only a few dishes, no cleaning cloths or basins, and tablecloths were available only if requested. After a summer trip, we would have appreciated finding at least some cold water in the fridge. Pets cost an extra €70 per week. Wi-Fi was very weak, and it wasn't clear when guests could use the pool or indoor kitchen. We paid in cash and got a receipt with no tax value, and only a sheet for the sofa. The natural surroundings deserve more attentive management of guests. On August 10th there was a fairly noisy private party in the evening, so if you want the usual farmhouse peace, I'd jokingly suggest avoiding that night. This is just our own experience.

We went in September with our dog and found a peaceful retreat in the Tuscan hills, with lovely sea views. The pool was great for children, and the apartments were clean, private, and quiet. The owners were helpful and kind. It's a good spot for relaxing, heading to the beach, or exploring nearby towns and villages. We also recommend buying their excellent products. Anna Lisa and Sergio

We're home now after a lovely week at La Ghiraia, and already miss it. The apartment was clean and welcoming, and the green spaces were too. There's a big pool for adults and children, all set among the Tuscan hills with a splendid view and a glimpse of the sea. The hosts and their family were so kind and helpful that we felt at home. Their pasta and olive oil are excellent, so we recommend taking some home. Thank you to the Bertoli family, Mr. Giuseppe, Mrs. Tiuccia, Federica, Silvia, and twins Matteo and Niccolò.
