We felt misled, and I came away feeling cheated. We picked the hotel specifically because it showed a gym that guests could use. But hotel guests only get a small room with a few individual weights and a treadmill that doesn’t work at all. The gym in the photo is private and isn’t available to guests.

I’d given up on finding a good hotel at a reasonable price in Teramo, then I came across Sporting.

The good points are free parking, low prices, and being right beside a Lidl supermarket. The staff were average, breakfast was the worst I’ve ever had, the WiFi only worked in the lobby, and all the TV channels were Italian.

The restaurant at Sporting Hotel serves fabulous, authentic traditional food from Abruzzo. The hotel itself is elegant, and everything is clean and well maintained.
