An easy place to park, with electric charging and a reasonable rate, and we got a good last-minute price while road-tripping through Europe. The hotel itself was good, with satisfactory rooms and great views. It’s in a great spot, though a little out of the way. Anastasia and Silvia at reception were especially patient and kind with us as tourists who didn’t speak the local language, and they kindly arranged a late checkout. There were some noisy, inconsiderate guests on our floor, but it eventually quieted down. The local buses were full and we couldn’t get on, so a hotel shuttle to Portofino would be my one suggestion. All in all, a good stay.

The rooftop pool, loungers and jacuzzi were lovely, with amazing wide-open views. Getting to the beach cafe was easy through the tunnel under the road in front of the hotel. It cost 25 euros for the day, and you could leave and come back; bring swimming shoes for the sea, or use the jetty and its steps further out. The hotel has striking architectural details, a great position overlooking the bay, and friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast offered plenty of choice and was 10 euros a day if it wasn’t included in your booking. We also had a very good meal at the restaurant next door affiliated with the hotel. The chef was very good and the service spot on, especially Dennis.

The room was comfortable enough for our two nights, though the bed was firm. What spoiled things a bit was that room 125 faces the Best Western sign, which is very bright and takes away from the beautiful lake view. The blackout curtains did let us sleep, at least. More frustratingly, the pool and hot tub stayed closed for our entire trip, and nobody told us beforehand, even though they were a deciding factor when we booked. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

The people here made my stay memorable. Silvia was welcoming and attentive, Emanuele was professional and ready to help with anything I needed, and Gabriele went out of his way to make sure I felt comfortable and looked after. Their kindness and dedication reflect the hotel’s high standards. I had an excellent stay at the Best Western Hotel and would highly recommend it.

Paid parking is available right beside the hotel, and the rooms are clean, with nice balconies overlooking the sea. They are small, though, the air conditioning is only average, and the bathroom is decent. I didn’t eat at the restaurant, but walked past and saw that it was very clean and busy. The best part for me was the reception team: professional, friendly, and clearly enthusiastic about their work and service. The hotel’s location is excellent, and I recommend it for the kindness and service of the staff.
