The B+B was clean and smelled lovely, and we slept well in a comfortable bed. The staff were fantastic, going out of their way more than once to help us get around Siena and accommodate our requests. We also loved the B+B’s restaurant, La Finestra. With its great location and helpful team, we’d happily stay again.

Our two-bed room was very comfortable, and we didn’t hear any street noise. It’s a lovely little hotel with a restaurant downstairs, and breakfast was good. We’d recommend the restaurant too. It was one of the best meals we’ve had in Italy so far.

It feels like an overrated, overpriced Airbnb that makes money off visitors. Google should definitely rate it below four stars. Check-in is only possible during a few hours, and my bed had a metal frame. I took a quick look at breakfast, then left without saying goodbye.

The host gave us a heads-up about parking in Siena, which let us leave the car in a nearby town parking garage. The location is handy, close to the town center and above two nice restaurants. We had a family suite with AC, well suited to summer travel, and breakfast was good. I was surprised by the famous annual Palio and enjoyed watching the preliminary runs.

The place was clean and the staff were nice, though they didn’t speak much English. The location is central, but being above restaurants meant loud banging and crowds until midnight. Breakfast was mostly packaged pastries. The air conditioning was advertised, but it didn’t work and the whole house was warm. It took 24 hours for someone to come and look at it. They partially fixed it, but the fan made a very loud noise when it switched on.
