We had booked well ahead through an online platform and had the confirmation weeks before our Sunday check-in. Then on Wednesday morning, just a few days beforehand, I got a badly written message saying, “Sorry, we have to cancel your reservation.” There was no reason or explanation at all. It had seemed like a promising family holiday, but we were six people, including four children aged 9 to 1, and being treated this way meant I didn't trust the people running the place. I didn't even bother following up.

The ice cream shops and pizzerias in Santa Maria Coghinas were excellent. We had a wonderful week in apartment 2, which was air-conditioned, practical, and had a washing machine. There are two pools and a play area for children. The assigned parking space was handy, and there are garbage bins in the building. The town website has all the waste disposal information. We also found a power strip and extension cord useful, since our grounded power strips wouldn't fit.

The apartment was comfortable and lovely, and the pool was nice. It’s an easy walk to the center, with a good restaurant down the road and convenient access. The one problem was the downstairs neighbor and his poor dog, barking nonstop.

The place is fairly spacious and well equipped, with pool access and parking. I’d recommend renting it, though the unit seemed poorly insulated from the upstairs tenants, who were very noisy.
