The dinner service was very attentive, and the wine tasting was a pleasure. The same person who showed us the cellars talked us through the wines. The food was quite nice, though there was so much of it: an appetizer buffet, a hearty pasta serving, then a full meat dish left me overfull. It would help to explain the menu more clearly. We also had a cellar tour before dinner, but it was brief and seemed ad hoc, as if the staff weren't specifically trained for it. We stayed one night with dinner and the tour. The setting is picturesque, with vineyards on Etna and views down to the sea. Our room, in a larger house that looked ideal for a group or family staying several days, was spacious and comfortable, with a great en suite. It still felt quiet and private. We used the pool; it was a little unclean, though it was April and out of season, I suppose. We still enjoyed it.

We really felt at home during our two nights at Tenuta San Michele. The staff were kind and helpful, and the facilities were clean and comfortable. Breakfast by the pool was a very good Italian spread made with fresh products. Dinner at the restaurant is a must try. We had an amazing time!

The vineyard and countryside views made a lovely backdrop, and there was outdoor seating too. Lunch was a fabulous traditional Italian meal, with wines that suited each course. We also enjoyed the guided visit to the wine-producing area. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend.

I had dinner there twice, and both meals were excellent and generous. I tried the wine tasting menu once and really enjoyed it. It would be helpful to have a description card for each wine, especially when the waiters are busy with a group. The wine and food were otherwise excellent, and breakfast was great too. The location has spectacular views across the vineyard to Mt Etna and the sea, with Taormina, Etna, and beautiful national park hikes close by. I stayed three nights in September and appreciated the large apartment-style room, with a lovely room, shower, and bathtub. The welcome drinks in the fridge, lemonade 🍋, coca, and water, were a nice touch. The WhatsApp chat and web check-in were a great idea. Thank you, San Sebastian & Laura, for the fantastic breakfast box for my Etna hike ❤️. Thanks to Nancy and everyone for making the stay so lovely. The pool is very nice too.

We came for a wine experience and lunch. There was a small misunderstanding when we arrived, but after that we had a great time. The food was good, though I would have liked the wines served to pair better with each course.
