Agriturismo La Grotta del Tesoro

We got there late for lunch, but Paula still put a table outside for us, in the shade with a lovely breeze. We started with a variety of antipasti, then had two huge plates of homemade pasta and slow-cooked coat meat with a really tasty sauce. The sweet ravioli with ricotta and honey was a surprise and so good. Highly recommended, we'll definitely come back.

Dinner was a real treat, with a typical Sardinian menu, great wine, and fresh local farm produce. The owners were especially warm and kind, even helping me with laundry after I'd been on the road for a while. It's a lovely agriturismo in a rural part of the island, a good choice if you're after an authentic stay in Sardinia away from the tourist traps nearer the shore.

We slept really well and enjoyed breakfast, especially the lovely cakes and the best fresh figs and grapes I've ever had. Dinner was traditional and filling, though it wasn't all-you-can-eat as one review below claims. It began with antipasti such as grilled vegetables, then pasta, meats, dessert, coffee, and a digestif. The produce tasted fresh and local. The farm is beautiful and has a lovely atmosphere. We stayed one night and had both dinner and breakfast. Visit Grotte Is Zuddas while you're here, it's gorgeous!
