Hotel Il Ciliegio

It's a shame that Wi-Fi is now available only at reception and can't be accessed from the rooms. That's why I gave hotel Ciliego three stars.

The gold quality was adequate, but the service was poor.

We came here tonight, December 31, 2025, to “celebrate” New Year's Eve, and the food was awful: cold, bland, and unpleasant. Service was completely lacking. There were only two waiters in the dining room, and they seemed like they might have been just starting out. I can't give it less than one star, but I strongly suggest they find another line of work. Catering is a different matter. Avoid this place completely.

The prices are good, and that's a big part of why I'd return. I paid around €70 a day, if I remember right, though I can't recall whether a deckchair was included. The hotel has a swimming pool and breakfast, and I've been coming for two or three years. I'm happy with the owners' management and the kind staff. There are small issues, but the owner sorts them out quickly, and the staff's kindness helps make up for them. The pool is open to outside visitors too, and even guests staying there, like me, have to pay €10 just for a deckchair. It's a public pool, so you can't expect four-star luxury from a three-star hotel, but it's well maintained and managed. Other places aren't as good, or cost a lot more for something similar. Some have music that's too loud and annoying, damp rooms near the pool, or too many people. There were also loads of flies. Maybe it hadn't rained and they hadn't had time to treat the area, but the flies kept circling and bothering me. I hope they do something to treat the garden next year so those pests are gone. Even with that, I had a good time and will come back as long as I can.
