The two single beds pushed together under one double sheet were uncomfortable and disappointing. Even though the room had been "cleaned," it was far from spotless. There were no basic items like a kettle, glasses or even bottled water. Breakfast was off-site, at a random shop in the mall 10 minutes from the hotel. I used a Vivabox gift and was shocked to be asked for another €95. Then the payment process turned into a confusing, stressful nightmare. Definitely not what I'd expect from a proper hotel stay.

We stayed here while travelling by motorcycle and had a really positive experience. Elisa, the owner, was extremely kind and helpful. The complimentary jar of local pesto was a small gesture, but one we really appreciated. Highly recommended!

The attic room had just one window, and it was hard to open. The room was clean enough, but the two mattresses making up the double bed kept sliding apart all night. The furnishings didn't suit what was supposed to be a superior room. We booked through a Wonderbox, which gave €80 off the listed price. When we contacted the owner, she said the only room available was a superior one and that we'd need to pay an extra €40. We checked Booking.com for the same date and saw that a standard room would have cost €65. When I asked why, the owner told us the room type shown on the website wasn't the one available for gift boxes. She was kind and helpful, but gift boxes are used specifically to avoid paying for stays. The total, €120 for the box and extra charge, was completely inappropriate for the room and experience.

The room was spacious and clean, with convenient free parking. The owner was kind and helpful, and the area was quiet, with many excellent restaurants nearby. It's an ideal base for La Spezia, Lerici, Porto Venere and other beautiful coastal spots, all easy to reach. Highly recommended.
