The food was good, but the stay left me wary. We had booked and paid for a two-bed room, and checked the arrival time beforehand. They confirmed 2 p.m., yet nobody was there when we arrived. We called every number on the website, heard their phone ringing, but got no answer. So we left the car and walked into town. Rita was there when we came back two hours later. She took our payment and said we were the only guests that day. The room she showed us had one bed. When we asked for two, she said it was the only one available, although plenty of rooms looked empty that night. It felt like take it or leave it. Sharing a small bed wasn't very guest friendly, even though neither of us is large. Since then I've read other mixed reviews, and it seems stays at this agriturismo can go either way. After twenty years running the place, you'd think the owners might have taken the criticism on board and worked out how to offer consistently good service.

The pool was a nice place to relax, and being close to the village was really convenient. The rooms are small, but neat. The people are friendly and make their own cheese and yoghurt.

Everything we ate came from their own farm, and both the food and service were fantastic.

The day's set menu was delicious all the way from the appetizers through dessert. We ate at this lovely farmhouse surrounded by greenery, and I'd highly recommend it.

The property itself is really pretty, tucked away among greenery, and the pool has a lot of charm. I slept well during my two nights there, and the rooms were reasonably clean, but they're very basic. There's no air conditioning or even a fan, though I didn't really need one, and the minibar was empty, without even a bottle of water. They also don't clean the rooms or change the towels during a stay. The price is at hotel level, which is a shame because the place has so much potential. It's called a farmhouse, but it doesn't have much to do with agriculture, and the restaurant only opens on weekends.
