I really enjoyed how smoothly everything was arranged. I booked and paid for the treatments ahead of time, and at check-in they printed the schedule and instructions for me. The stone massage was lovely, and I got to have the sauna to myself, which let me properly unwind. At lunch, anyone wanting to try both options was given both dishes. The portions were generous and the service was great. Just remember to ask for parmigiano with your pasta! I went back for more treatments in the afternoon.

The room felt plain and almost hospital-like, even though it was a superior room with a terrace. The hotel website makes the bedrooms and facilities look lovely, but in reality everything seemed dated, old, and soulless. The thermal pools were so heavily chlorinated that I wondered whether they could be doing anyone good. Dinner was poor, with cheap ingredients, and the staff seemed like they would rather be elsewhere. Loud music outside carried on until 23:30, making it impossible to relax, read, or sleep. Breakfast was another letdown: low-quality buffet food and disposable plastic glasses for juice. That was also when the geriatric crowd gathered for the pools. It cost quite a bit and simply wasn't worth it. I’d avoid this place.

There isn't really anything to see, and although the place has potential, it's all closed. It could make a nice picnic stop, like other reviewers have said, but I wouldn't make the drive for it.

We came just for the thermal water, and based on our experience with thermal facilities, the pools were disappointing. They felt relatively cold, while the outdoor shower had the thermal water I had expected in the pools. The pool water was full of chlorine. Smaller pools with hot shower water could make this place much better. Our package included lunch, which is apparently required on Fridays, and the pool shuts for two hours at 13:00, so you have to leave. The meal wasn't great, though the service was okay. Google photos don't reflect the actual state of the place. It's not expensive, but the experience doesn't feel worth what you pay.

Sardara itself is probably worth visiting, but I regretted staying more than a night here. The hotel seems to have last been renovated in the 80’s, maybe earlier, and it was mostly occupied by octogenarians. The staff had the sort of attitude you'd expect in a retirement home. Food was average at best, made with what seemed like industrial ingredients by a blasé kitchen. The place may once have had some soul, but routine and rules seem to have drained it away. The advertised photos show young couples, so don't be fooled if that's what you're after. The thermal pools are chlorinated and have a yellowing edge, and the prices are inflated.
