Residence Il Pino

It was an OK place.

Be careful, I felt this was a scam. This isn't a four-star hotel, just a building renting out rooms. The woman left me outside the apartment at 2 in the morning, in the cold, and kept the €60 bank transfer without refunding it. She also blocked me on WhatsApp right away. Serious action is needed. Be very careful.

The apartment building was run down and poorly maintained, and it was absurd to present it as a residence. Our beds were uncomfortable, the sheets didn't match, and there were towels for only three of us. Booking.com had described three apartments, each with a private bathroom, but the five of us were put in one apartment with just one bathroom. A completely negative experience.

*Must read* I never actually stayed here, but I can still comment on how the property was organized. I booked a room with Mrs. V. for the Grand Prix period. From the beginning I waited for her to email me the IBAN so I could make a bank transfer. Luckily she never sent it. Three days before check-in, and only after I emailed her, she said the reservation had been canceled because of COVID. I replied that canceling like that was unprofessional, especially during such a busy period. I was at risk of losing the Grand Prix money and the trip altogether. She blamed me for not paying a deposit, even though she had never sent me the IBAN. I don't know if the cancellation was about the deposit, a problem with the local health authority, or whether she'd offered the room to someone else at a higher price. I can only speculate. Fortunately, I found a great place nearby. Otherwise I would have filed a complaint. I don't usually add fuel to unpleasant situations, but I felt this needed to be said out of respect for hoteliers who do their work seriously.
