We only spent two nights at Convento Santa Chiara, but the staff made us feel looked after from the moment we arrived. The garden is magical, and there's plenty to enjoy just wandering around the grounds or taking in the views. Our first night in Sarteano, we had that view right from room 101. Breakfast in the restaurant or garden is worth doing, and the osteria a few minutes away was lovely too. It felt like a little corner of heaven in Toscana. If you're considering a stay, just go ahead and book. 💙

A lovely tucked-away spot in Tuscany, with a great view from room 101. The staff were wonderful too, especially the guy who somehow handles both making that amazing breakfast and working at the restaurant.

We had a wonderful time here, with three families in the upstairs apartment and two hotel rooms. It worked really well as a base for day trips around Tuscany. We ate outdoors at the restaurant, and finished each evening with gelato in town.

Dinner at the Convento of Santa Chiara in Sarteano felt like being welcomed into an old friend's home. Mr. Giorgio's enthusiasm and care turned each dish into a story, almost a little cooking lesson, and made the meal feel special. The food itself was delicious, prepared with care and presented beautifully. The old walls, high ceilings, and gentle lighting gave the evening a charming, historic feel. An evening I'll remember.
