The delicious lunch, excellent wine, and beautiful setting made a strong impression on me. I also noticed a few dedicated staff members doing their best in difficult circumstances. That quiet commitment matters. In places like this, it can be the people inside who make the difference, regardless of the name over the door. The property has real potential, but it doesn’t seem to be managed to make the most of it. There’s a large wine-tasting hall and plenty of parking, facilities that might support the sort of crowds you see in Montepulciano, though that kind of volume doesn’t seem to come here. Groups could be an opportunity, but the narrow access road and low branches aren’t suited to buses. I noticed all this even though we were only there for lunch. The cook served a delicious meal, and the place could really shine if it got the attention it deserves.

The property is picture perfect, with furry friends around for company. The menu changes daily, and our lunch was incredible. Chef Maresca prepared one of the best fish dishes we’ve had on our travels, and the ravioli was stunning.

There are plenty of hikes around this stunning spot tucked into all that greenery. The pool, food, and rooms were all just perfect, and you can taste the wine right there since they grow their own grapes and make award-winning wine.

We came by for lunch, but the kitchen was closed. A very nice lady still managed to make us a really good pasta meal. The swimming pool is lovely too, and you can use it even if you’re not staying at the hotel. If you’re near Sarteano, this is a beautiful place to visit, and the tiramisu is delicious ;)

The location is a little tucked away, but well worth finding. We had dinner, and the local food was very well prepared. The outside terrace is lovely for an evening, and the wine they make themselves is very fairly priced.
