We may not have looked into it enough before booking, but the apartment complex/hotel wasn't what we'd pictured. Our apartment had plenty of room for two. The kitchen was okay for warming something up, but too basic for proper cooking. The bathroom was simple, and the bed was a little hard but fine for us. The main issue was the location, right beside the Sarzana train tracks and station. You can really hear it in the apartments, especially when the heavy goods trains go past, so light sleepers may be happier somewhere else. Construction workers were staying in the apartment during our visit, too, and we heard doors closing in the hallway as they left for work at 6 in the morning. Maybe it was just unlucky timing, but we wouldn't choose to stay here again.

The room had its own air conditioner/heater and hot water boiler, and the bed was comfortable, though too short for me at 190cm. The curtains don't make it properly dark, and the wifi is slow. Staff were friendly, the atmosphere was good, and the room was cleaned daily. Breakfast has a wide selection, mostly wheat and sugary items. It's very close to the railway station and city centre. We had powerful electric bikes for the whole stay, which were great fun on the hills. 8/10

We found the service friendly and polite, and the coffee was great, proper Italian coffee. The place was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was very good with lots of choice. I'd recommend staying here.

It's good value for money, with reasonable prices and an excellent breakfast. The reception staff were efficient, spoke good English, and were ready to help if needed. The train station is a 5-minute walk away, with good connections to La Spezia and Cinque Terre. Sarzana's historic centre is also a 5-minute walk.

Parking, dog-friendly rules and reasonable prices made the stay easy. The rooms were comfortable and lovely, close to the city center, and breakfast was a nice buffet. The staff were professional.
