The people here were welcoming and made me feel at home. The mini apartments are all a bit different and fairly basic, but mine had the comforts I needed. Staying here also meant I was close to both the hospitals and the city center. For a short visit, it’s a good compromise between price and location.

We left after a heated argument, and it felt pointless: we still haven’t got a cent back, and there’s no receipt for the payment made in person. The booking itself had been arranged by phone. Shameful. Be careful, don’t trust them! The whole thing was shocking. My partner paid when we arrived and immediately felt something was off. He called me, but I got there a few hours later. The owner didn’t even seem to remember a reservation in our name. The room wasn’t a studio at all. It was separated from the next room by a plasterboard wall, and the bed was queen-sized rather than a double. We could hear everything from elsewhere in the apartment, especially next door, so there was almost no privacy. The corridor had several wooden doors like interior room doors, and one opened into the owner’s study. We asked the owner, who was there, for a refund and said we wanted to leave. He seemed upset and unfriendly, told us not to go, then locked the door and demanded the keys back so they could talk privately elsewhere in the house. He also silenced me several times, saying I had no right to speak.

Just a few steps from the center of Sassari, the apartment was brand new and worked perfectly for a couple’s holiday. The owners were always on hand if we needed anything for the house, and they suggested other places to visit, too.

Privacy was almost nonexistent. These are rooms, not studios, apparently divided by plasterboard so thin you can hear the people next door breathing. There was furniture and mattresses scattered along the corridors, and the rooms connect to the owner’s office. I could say more, but I’ll leave it there. Never again!
