La Mansarda

At La Mansarda, Domenica and her daughter Mirella made us feel right at home, with attentive care and delicious homemade desserts. The property is comfortable and kept in meticulous shape. We had an unforgettable holiday and absolutely recommend the experience.

A simple, clean room and a lovely garden, plus a delicious breakfast. The location works really well for both Porto Palmas and Stintino. Grandma Domenica’s hospitality and Sardinian desserts deserve more than five stars.

We’re about 30 km from Alghero airport and roughly twenty from the ferry terminal at Porto Torres, with Argentiera, La Pelosa beach, and other beaches along the West Coast close by. Some are within walking distance, around 300 meters. It’s hard to find a place that feels so central while staying quiet and relaxing. We’ve been coming to La Mansarda for over six years, in summer, spring, and autumn. Even on the hottest days the air stays dry and breezy. Breakfast is excellent, and the owners are very accommodating. What can I say? Don’t miss this piece of authentic Sardinia, with a restaurant nearby 😎😎.

The mattress was really comfortable, and the apartment was practical. It is an attic room, so the wall slopes down, but that wasn’t a problem at all. The ladies welcomed us warmly, lent us a cooler and ice packs, and suggested a good restaurant. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
