The best part was having access to the lovely private botanical garden in Marina du Castagneto Carducci, with hammocks, picnic spots, parking, a toilet and shower, and direct beach access. Giuseppe and Anna Chiara were especially lovely hosts. Our vacation apartment was spacious, beautiful, and well maintained, and we felt completely undisturbed thanks to the clever layout. You barely notice the neighbors, and everyone has their own area with a gazebo, sun loungers, and barbecue among the trees and plants. It’s away from the crowds, with only a few houses nearby. We had a fantastic time and wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

Vito, Annachiara, and Giuseppe were really kind, and the pool and fantastic view were lovely. We stayed for a week at the end of September 2024, and the value for money felt good overall. There are a few inexpensive things the apartment could use, like napkins, a lighter, and a cutting board. The garden lamps are broken and need replacing, and fire alarms should definitely be installed for safety. I don’t think Google translated my earlier comment perfectly: I meant the lamps outside in the garden, not inside the house. The positives outweigh the negatives.

Sassetta is close enough to walk to, and it has the shops and other basics you need day to day. The private beach is about 12 km away, roughly a 25-minute drive. The owners are super friendly, and the Italian apartments are beautiful, set in the mountains with real peace and quiet. At around 500 m elevation, it cools down at night. A great base for hiking and jogging.

The owners are incredibly friendly, and Dalia in La Quercia, Sassetta (Val Canina) is beautifully situated just a few steps from the pool. You can also use the private sandy beach at Marina di Castagneto, about 13 km away. I can absolutely recommend the apartment. Greetings from Germany to the Moscardini family.
