La Garrocha

I slept really well and only wish I'd stayed more than one night. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and beautiful, and the other guests were very respectful. There are just three rooms. I was allowed to check in late, and when I arrived it was completely dark and quiet, with only the horses to hear. Yes, there are horses. It's a beautiful place to relax.

Even though this agriturismo is in the hills, it's not far from the city center, and the setting is so quiet you wouldn't think you were in one of the country's most industrialized areas. The owner gave us an excellent welcome and was very kind and accommodating. There are three modern, clean rooms, plus a small lounge with a shared kitchen. Breakfast was plentiful, and the price was excellent. The one small downside is hearing the horses at night, since the rooms are above the stables.

The claim that pets are allowed is a lie! We called to confirm, but the owner said pets weren't welcome. I'm only writing this because otherwise no one would go. He hates animals because he has to wash the bedspreads. But don't bedspreads get washed between guests anyway?

The B&B sits among greenery, and there’s even a riding stable with incredible horses. I felt really welcome thanks to the owner's hospitality, and the room was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent too. I’d been recommended the place while I was in Sassuolo, and I had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend it.
