The staff here took time to chat and made me feel at home, which stood out compared with the other places in Sportinia. It also seemed quieter, perhaps because people tend to ski straight past it on the run down to the lift. The food is hearty and tasty, just right for a ski lunch. I had amazing pasta on my first visit, then came back the next day for a really good soup. I'll eat here every day next time I'm in Sauze!

We stopped for lunch and had a terrible experience. They charged €2.50 per person just to sit, the food was overpriced, and the toilets were dirty with no toilet paper. There was snow that hadn't been cleared even though plenty of staff were standing around. I wouldn't go back.

The food was good, but there were several problems in my room. The window handle came off when I pulled it, and turning on the shower burned my hand. Those weren't the only issues.

The headwaiter was welcoming and really nice, and they didn't charge me for the espresso I ordered after I'd already paid and remembered I wanted one. When we left about a 10% tip, they appreciated it so much that people behind the bar started whooping. We had lunch here while skiing, and the pizza was the best we had on the holiday. It was a refreshing stop after restaurants nearby where tourists didn't feel welcome. I'd recommend it for a lunch break.

The pizzas and other food were very nice, and the staff were friendly. I do think the service charge is a bit ridiculous, though. Tipping is one thing, but paying 6 euros for two people when I still have to go to the counter to pay doesn't sit right with me.
