Luna Rooms

The view over the beach and sea was lovely, and the location and cleanliness were excellent. Communication before arrival was great, and private parking was a real bonus. We could also have breakfast in the shared kitchen even though we were leaving very early. Thanks for a great stay!

The bathroom was excellent, the rooms feel modern, and we had a lovely view of the sea. The host was friendly and easy to approach, and breakfast came with good coffee. There’s also a nice restaurant downstairs run by the same owner. Room 1 had poor Wi-Fi. None of our phones or other devices could connect because the modem was supposedly too far away and the signal too weak. We brought it up, but the owners didn’t seem to recognize it as a problem. Sleep can be noisy too, both between the rooms and from the bars chattering late into the night and scooters on the main road. If you’re used to city noise, it may not bother you.

I left at 2 a.m. on my first night because cigarette smoke was coming from other apartments in the building. I was refused a refund for the nights I hadn’t used. Luna rooms is a four-bedroom apartment in a building with quite a few other apartments, and people smoke heavily there, so you can expect cigarette smoke during a stay. The owners smoke too, and I felt they didn’t care about guests’ health. They can’t control what happens in the other apartments. This would never happen in the US, where apartment buildings are required to be non-smoking.

Paolo was such a nice host, and we had wonderful days in Savona. He also owns the restaurant downstairs. This was the best vacation spot we’ve ever been to, like heaven on earth. We might be back soon!
