Il FAUNO - Suite & SPA

Our family found this place on air B&B while travelling around Italy. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had all the equipment you'd have at home. Bottled water was provided, while other drinks cost €1-5, so bring large bottles or stock up. The property sits well back from the road and was very quiet, except for the big dog barking. We had full use of the pool, a short walk from the apartment block, and it was just what we needed. eduardo and his family were around whenever we needed to talk, with Google translate helping us out. We had a real pleasure staying here and would do it again if we were in the area.

We stayed in 2010. The hosts were very friendly, and the croissants were amazing.

We just wanted a few relaxing hours before going back to work, but it turned into an embarrassing mess. The TV wasn't working when we sat down, so we told the receptionist. She said her son would come soon to check it, though that should have been done before handing over the room. While I went out for a cigarette, my husband stayed inside. When the person came to fix the TV, I finished smoking and came back, leaving the door partly open because the air conditioning was on. Then the wife screamed from the car for us to open the door. She came upstairs, made a scene, and ordered us out of the room while she fixed the TV. I don't know what she thought was going to happen. We got our money back and left as fast as we could. For the price, I expect professionalism, and there was none.

For two or three hours of relaxation, the prices were outrageous, and I won't go back. It's advertised as a SPA, but it isn't one. The rooms are tiny and windowless, with humidity clinging to the tiles even with the air conditioning on. The hydromassage tub controls are so awkwardly placed you'd need arms a meter and a half long to open the fountain and reach them from the floor. The bathroom has no bidet, just a small shower cubicle beside it. The coffee and herbal tea corner is tiny and had only one tea bag. They give you paper slippers and just two towels, neither very large.
