Monte Roraima

The owner clearly loves what she does, and it shows. The room was clean, fresh-smelling, and had all the comforts. The location was perfect for Scalea, whether heading to the beach or out for leisure, and there was free parking nearby. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay! 😘

Rosana was always kind and ready to answer our questions or concerns. The new property is well placed, about a 10-minute walk from the seafront and from the upper part of Scalea, which is worth exploring on foot. We spent three days on the beautiful Riviera dei Cedri, and this place was a really pleasant surprise. Our first-floor room was very spacious and clean, with all the comforts and a large terrace that caught a lovely breeze. I’d definitely come back.

Rosana is helpful and willing to listen, and the property itself is new and well kept. We stayed two nights. It’s on the first floor with no elevator, but the stairs are easy to manage. The entrance area has a coffee maker, kettle, microwave, and the Wi-Fi password. Our room was spacious, with a desk and minibar, and the bathroom was spacious too. The bed was comfortable, though I’d personally choose a different mattress. There were complimentary toiletries, including shower gel, intimate soap, shower caps, a bar of soap, and a hairdryer more powerful than usual. The room’s soundproofing was a plus, but I’d recommend soundproofing the windows as well, since holidaymakers don’t want to be woken by the usual daytime noise. Parking is along the white-lined road, and it’s well placed for the center and seafront. Breakfast at the partner bar was the letdown. The croissants were good, but the staff didn’t offer a choice of drinks and kept steering us toward cappuccino or coffee. I expect at least some choice with a B&B breakfast, rather than having others decide. They were rude to us, though apparently kind to guests who didn’t show Rosana’s ticket and explained everything with a smile, which they never did with us. I told Rosana the next day. Even after she intervened, they again said we could have coffee or cappuccino. I asked for juice, and they diluted it with water and added ice. Bad breakfast.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and seem ideal for a longer stay. They’ve just been renovated, so a few details are still missing, but I’d recommend the place. It’s very handy for both the beach and the city center, with easy free parking. The staff were super helpful and paid close attention to cleanliness.
