Borgo De' Salaioli

The breakfast was generous and authentic, with a lovely panoramic view. We only stayed one night at Borgo de'Salaioli, but Laura and Davide made everything easy and looked after us so well. Since we were traveling by bike, they helped us dine at a nearby restaurant that opened just for the two of us on a Saturday night. The dinner was excellent, and the setting was enchanting. Thank you!

The place was beautifully kept and spotless, with an incredible view. The people were warm, kind, and friendly. I’ll definitely come back.

It feels like a tiny village tucked among greenery, a peaceful spot to get away from the daily rush. The rooms are basic but do the job, and it’s still a little gem. A few more lights along the paths to the rooms, by the parking areas, and near the pool would make it better.

Getting around from here was handy, whether heading to Saturnia, Lake Bolsena, Argentario, or one of the nearby villages. We loved the quiet among the Tuscan hills and olive groves, and the grounds are cared for down to the smallest detail. Arrigo, the owner, his young helpers, and the wonderful Nebbiolo wine made us feel welcome from arrival. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful, and their suggestions for places to visit were useful too. Our room was clean and had every comfort we needed. For us, a holiday is about feeling connected to the place we’re visiting, so this suited us perfectly. We’d love to return for another peaceful break from city life.
