The balcony had a cute view, but the apartment felt very overpriced for what we got. We were told at check-in that a storm meant there’d be no internet for our whole stay. The place smelled like an old dog had died in it, and the cleaning seemed questionable. The mattress was horrible and really uncomfortable. You’d think with enough money for a fancy, lit ‘Madonna del Poggio’ sign on the entrance wall, they could at least provide comfortable beds.

We booked at the last minute and the family welcomed us so warmly. They were very friendly and helpful. Since we had to set off early on our bikes to beat the heat, she prepared a lovely breakfast bag with croissants and cake. The pool was refreshing, and the olive trees were breathtaking. Such a cozy, lovely place!♥️🇮🇹

Isabeau and her mother, Sonia, made us feel so welcome and turned the stay into something special. The family-run place is lovely, with a spectacular view, and the sea and several towns are within a reasonable distance.
