Martha was really informative and shared itinerary suggestions, and there's free coffee by the kettle in the hall. The J+K suite was modern and very clean, with a mini fridge, nice towels including beach towels, and strong air conditioning with remote controls. Its location made getting around easy, near the marina and trains, with restaurants and shops all around and not far up the steep hill from the station after a long travel day. We stayed two nights with my fiancé. The huge bed was so hard that we didn't sleep well. There were no blinds or sun-blocking curtains, so we woke when the sun came up, and the internet was really poor, worse than the public Wi-Fi at the train station. There were no toiletries apart from bath lotion. The booking didn't say toiletries were provided, but that's worth knowing if you're backpacking.

Martha's hospitality alone makes this place worth recommending. We booked just a few weeks ahead, and she helped us with restaurant picks, hiking routes, experiences, and all sorts of other suggestions. She even arranged restaurant reservations wherever we wanted to go. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and nice for two.
