The lodge itself was lovely, the pools were great with lots of sunbeds, and there was entertainment every night. The restaurant was lovely but quite pricey. It’s a beautiful setting, and the town above, Scarlino, is well worth visiting. We stayed for a week in a "luxury" lodge. You can’t park beside it, and there are lots of steps. The path to some lodges is extremely narrow, with raised stones and no lighting. You also have to bring the inflatables for the slide. Take cleaning products, as there’s only enough provided for a few days. I’d come again, but I struggled with the steps, slopes, and very narrow path to our lodge because I have a heart condition and get out of breath easily.

Our hut was clean and nice, and the kids’ activities were fun, with very nice animators. We loved our first glamping trip. The pools stayed clean and were fun throughout our three-day stay. There’s beautiful countryside, a mining museum nearby, and a great view of a town on the hill. Prices at the local bar were humane, and even the WiFi was strong.

We’d love to come back. The campsite has a great location and beautiful, clean pools. Most of all, thanks to the kind, very helpful staff, who sorted out a booking error when we arrived and offered us suitable accommodation.

The bar and restaurant staff saved the service from being one star. Laundry was a drama: the machine needed a very specific amount in euro coins, which I got by asking for the tip jar. After that, reception sent me away when the bar had told me to go there. The receptionist acted as if it was my problem. The whole camping had to rely on one washing machine, which isn’t glamorous at all.
