The red house wine was very good, and the service felt both warm and efficient. We had a lovely meal at the restaurant, with good grilled trout and pizzas. It’s right beside a pond. Recommended.

The family running the place is wonderful, and the restaurant serves casual, authentic, delicious food at a good price. The cabins are simple but have everything you need. It’s a fantastic base for exploring beautiful Umbria. Highly recommended.

Service was amazingly efficient, and the food is good value. The trout stuffed with tartuffo is a must, as are the arastechini, which come in generous portions and are tender. Pasta with trout was excellent, juicy and full of flavor. The tartuffo pasta was just good. Their fresh green sauce goes beautifully with whatever they put it on.

The pasta was horrible. The truffle was like dust, and the mushrooms tasted canned and almost spoiled. The pizza was passable, but we ate it because there weren’t other options. They still charged us for the pasta we sent back.

I ate here several times while staying in Scheggino and really liked the food. It’s one of the few places in town serving pizza, though only at dinner. They also have outdoor seating. Delicious, and I’d definitely recommend a visit.
