Schiavi has incredible views in every direction, with the Adriatic Sea just visible on the horizon. Getting around by public bus is limited to two trips a day, but the village itself has a bakery and small grocery shops. We found the walk to the center short, and the recently renovated rooms were a lovely surprise, finished with great care. A nice way to experience rural Italy.

We used this as a base for exploring the area, and the warm welcome made us feel at home. The rooms were clean, comfortable and warm, with an en suite bathroom, A/C, heating, TV and other essentials. Schiavi d'Abruzzo is tucked high in the mountains, so it can feel a bit remote, and several nearby places were closed out of season. It didn't affect our trip. The town was peaceful, with plenty of free parking around town and near the B&B, and the views were breathtaking.

Everyone in Schiavi di Abruzzo was so friendly and welcoming. Guiliano and his mom were wonderful too. We had a great few days here, and also got to look into my wife's family history since her great grandfather emigrated from here in the early 1900s. I'm sure we'll come back soon.

The manager was so kind and helpful, and the location was just right, quiet but close to lots of other tourist attractions. My room was cozy, had everything I needed, and was spotless. I had a wonderful, relaxing stay at this B&B and would happily recommend it.
