The staff were kind, accommodating, and helpful throughout, and it was clear they wanted us to enjoy our stay. For our honeymoon, my wife and I spent a week at Tonnara di Sciacca, with lovely garden spots to sit and relax. Our fresh, comfortable apartment had a stove, kitchen utensils, air conditioning, comfortable beds, and a TV in the bedroom. Breakfast was brought to the door each morning, and we could choose both what we wanted and when it arrived. On the private beach, right by the living area, our sunbeds were assigned, so we could go whenever we liked without hunting for a spot. There’s a vending machine nearby for water, candy, and snacks. A beach kiosk about a three-minute walk away serves snacks, simple meals, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks during the day. The mini-mart is about ten minutes on foot and has the groceries, supplies, and food you’d usually need on vacation. There’s also a good nearby restaurant, especially if you like seafood. Tonnara di Sciacca isn’t within walking distance of most places, so renting a car may make it easier to see more of Sciacca or Sicily. We got around Sicily by taxi instead, and that worked well too, though you’ll want to factor the taxi costs into your vacation budget. We definitely recommend Tonnara di Sciacca. You won’t regret going.

Don’t stay here if you don’t want a comfortable bed, an amazing shower, and your own beach! We spent four nights in June 2025 while touring Sicily and had a wonderful time. Our deluxe room was lovely and looked just like the photos. The beach is beautiful, with calm, crystal-clear water and a designated space for each room, so there’s no scramble for loungers. It felt very safe for children. The resort is somewhat remote, so you do need a car. There are two really nice restaurants nearby, but for everything else you’ll need to drive. Breakfast is a simple continental spread, but the ingredients are high quality and it’s brought right to your door at the time you choose. We tried all the croissant varieties, and they were delicious. There’s a short walk from the parking area with your bags, though help is available if you need it. We’re Brits who love seeing the world and experiencing other cultures, and this suited us well. Tourism is limited in sciacca, but it’s a stunning part of the world. I loved the seafood, though my husband found the food choices limited. Most restaurants did their best to handle our dietary needs with the help of Google Translate. Our one complaint about tuna beach was that there wasn’t enough coffee at breakfast. It wouldn’t take much to add coffee-making equipment to the kitchenette, or include a flask or cafetière with breakfast.

The beach that belongs to the complex deserves a special mention. It’s just a few steps from the accommodation, and having sun loungers and umbrellas included in the price made it easy to enjoy the sea every day. I really enjoyed my stay at Tonnara di Sciacca. The accommodation was clean, well kept, and very comfortable, with an ideal price-performance ratio.

My family and I only visited the hotel’s beach, but that was enough to share our experience. We rented umbrellas and deckchairs for a few days. One day was extremely windy, so we had to leave, but when we came back the next day, the staff remembered us and offered us a free day. Such a nice gesture. The place seemed really clean and lovely. If we come back to Sicily, La tonnara will be our destination.
